Teams of patrolling members have the honour and responsibility to ensure the safety of the public both in the water and on the beach and surrounding areas.
The Nipper movement focuses on fun, education, and surf safety for children, gradually teaching them surf techniques and water awareness, with the goal of earning their Surf Rescue Certificate by age 13, allowing them to join patrols at North Wollongong.
As an Associate Member, you can join the club without needing a surf rescue qualification or being part of a patrol. You'll have access to most club facilities and can participate in social events. Your assistance is always welcome if you'd like to help with a BBQ or logistics.
With certified trainers, assessors and facilitators the club is with you every step of your journey from joining through to the yearly proficiencies.
